Η CESIE είναι ένας μη κυβερνητικός οργανισμός, ο οποίος ιδρύθηκε το 2001, εμπνεύστηκε από την δουλειά και τις θεωρίες του Ιταλού κοινωνιολόγου DaniloDolci (1924-1997). Η CESIE συμβάλλει στην ενεργή συμμετοχή των ατόμων, της κοινωνίας των πολιτών και των οργανισμών μέσω της υλοποίησης προγραμμάτων σε διάφορες θεματικές ενότητες, για την υποστήριξη της εξέλιξης και της ανάπτυξης, αξιολογώντας πάντα την πολυπολιτισμικότητα όσον αφορά τους κανόνες κοινωνικής συμπεριφοράς και της ανθρώπινης προόδου.

As a European centre of Studies and Initiatives, the organisation is dedicated to the promotion of research and development so as to increase and improve future-oriented innovation processes in educational, social, economic and cultural spheres believing in the cross-cutting of organisations cooperating within heterogeneous fields and sectors.

Pursuing to base our initiatives on real social needs and challenges, CESIE actively connects research with action through the use of formal and non-formal learning methodologies fostering active involvement of target groups so to develop a common research path of analysis, testing and creative co-education.
